½ cup of canola oil

 ¼ cup of cider vinegar

¼ of honey

1 tbsp of soy sauce

½ tsp of paprika

1 beef flank steak (2lbs)

¾ cup of crumbled blue cheese

3 tbsp of softened butter

1 green onion, finely chopped

1 tbsp of minced cilantro

Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a shallow dish, combine the first five ingredients. Add steak; turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 2-4 hours.
  2. Drain beef, discarding marinade. Grill steak, covered, over medium heat or broil for 6 – 8 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (medium-rare, medium-well, well). Let steak stand for 5 minutes before thinly slicing across the grain.
  3. In a small bowl, beat blue cheese, butter and remaining ingredients until blended. Serve steak with butter.
